The Conduit (Gryphon Series #1) by Stacey Rourke

Please note: Please do not attempt to read this unless you have a grown up diaper! *snickering*

Does your Grams wear a leopard bikini with fusion painted finger nails?

These are quotes I loved from this book:

*Pure tell terror ran through me....All the sudden Kendall's face was smashed on my windshield making a "Pig Nose".*

*So what did you learn Double-O-Dense*

*I bet Robin never made Batman stop for chips.*

*If a psychopathic killer asks if you want to see a trick, say no. That's the smart thing to do. I, on the other hand, responded, "Bring it.* excerpt from the book!

I extremely loved Stacey's writing. She made sure to pay attention to the simple details without drawing it out & making it boring. Clothes, have you ever read a book and wonder what the crap happened to his clothes or someone grows wings? What happens? When Kendall grew her wings, she started whining about her shirt, which helped it seem more vivid and real. What do you do when you get ready to take a road trip, you stop for gas. Guess what, we stopped for gas. The author explained the dragon so well, I knew what he looked like better then she did probably. The best part she did not use three pages to describe him. With her creativity with the here and now times and the logic of the teenagers, she was able to make the story feel so real and natural. This author took reality, supernaturals and blended them in so well together. She had me believing this was reality. She used a flag pole as a weapon. Brilliant Stacey, because teenagers don't walk around town with swords.

Two sisters and one brother, off to live with their spunky Grams. Gabe is the Protector, Kendall the Guardian, Celeste the Conduit. Once again hear my words. Stacey took the siblings and made them real. I loved the normal nature of their identities. Celeste is strong, witty, and yet girly. Kendall is all girl, with a lot spunk. Gabe, the older brother, makes fun of his sisters, but no one will touch them.

Just a overall great book. Great read. The story line perfect. The flow perfect! Yes, I said perfect! The only questions I have was, what mother never calls her children? What children never calls their mother?

Stacey Rourke you need to learn the word Fabuious!
